Favorite Beauty Products!

All of these products are items I have pretty recently purchased, and I am obsessed with them all! I just want to share them with everyone.

1. C.O Bigelow Rose Salve:
I use this heavenly salve as a lip balm, although it has many different uses (listed on the tin.) It smells heavenly and is just so cute, plus it does it job well. These little tins are around $8 and I purchased mine at Bath & Body Works. It's THE BEST!

2. Colour Pop Lippie Stix:
Seriously, such a good lipstick. Mine is the color "Brink" and is a matte lipstick. It is such a good neutral color, its minimal but still gives pop of color. And it feels light which is nice! The best part is that they are only $5 on the Colour Pop website.

3. Barr Co. Oatmeal Hand Cream:
I was first drawn to this product because of its beautiful design. Seriously, it's so pretty. Then I tried it and fell in love. The smell of it is wonderful! And it's the perfect product to carry around with me every where I go for when my hands get dry.

4. Black Opium Perfume by Yves Saint Laurent (First Photo):
Try it!! I bought a sample size from Amazon and I can't wait to buy the real deal. I can't really explain how it smells, just know that it is amazing.

I'm so happy to have discovered these products. I love them all and wear them everyday basically. I love the simplicity and beauty of each product, and I love having small things to make me feel and look confident.

*I'll be posting a clothes edition as well as a home decoration edition soon!

"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good."

Jennifer / Portraits

Last weekend I ventured out past town to shoot senior portraits for this girl! We had so much fun and I am really excited about all of these photos. We had the best light for our session and I just couldn't stop taking photos. Days like these are so good, as a photographer. Getting out and being creative, shooting good stuff. Its really my favorite thing to do.

The Best Summer Dress

I can't think of any piece of clothing I love more than a dress with pockets. It is the perfect summer wardrobe staple. My favorite blog, Treasures & Travels, designed a shop full of the coolest products and this dress is one of them. It fits perfectly and was just the dress to wear when I visited Lake Michigan in Chicago last weekend. And how beautiful is the lake? I felt like I was at the Ocean, which I have been wanting to go to for so long. I was in the city with my friend Hannah, and we rode bikes along the city streets till we reached this pretty beach. Toes in the sand, the sound of the waves, and a perfect sunny day. Seriously though, if you are heading to the beach this sumer, this dress is the way to go.

Zac & Sydney | Engagement

Meet Zac and Sydney. They are two really good friends of mine and they just recently got engaged. Zac proposed to Sydney during an (amazing) Ben Howard concert. She said yes! They traveled up to Lawrence last week and I shot their engagement photos at a place outside of town called Wells Overlook.  I am so happy with how they turned out, but really it was all them cause look at em, they're models.

I am beyond excited and so honored to shoot their October wedding.  It is going to be the best!

We are almost a week into April and I have been feeling all of the spring goodness. Warm temperatures, rain storms to fall asleep to, bike rides,  t-shirt dress, and all the iced coffee!  In fact, most days you can find me hanging out  at Alchemy (best coffee in Lawrence and the world), for hours. I am thankful for this season of growth, and I hope to use it as an opportunity to better myself in many ways. One way I hope to grow is through creativity. I am so thankful for the upcoming shoots I have , including my best friends' engagement photos and a wedding in May. Now, if summer could only come a little bit sooner! Can't wait to share more photos and adventures with you soon here on my blog.
